Quick and Easy DIY Car Air Freshener Hack

I use a vent clip air freshener in my car keep the inside of my car from stinking up the joint in between cleanings. My personal go-to is t his Fabreeze car vent air freshener , but I also love the scent of these Yankee Candle car vent air fresheners . Depending on availability and sales, I tend to switch between the two.( Disclosure: I am including affiliate links for your convenience .) I stumbled upon a killer deal on Yankee Candle Sidekick refills. Without hesitation, I snatched them up, even though I didn't have the matching holder (the Sidekick air freshener looks like this ). My brilliant plan was to simply stick the refill in the car vent, similar to the air freshener sticks that look like this . It sorta worked but mostly didn’t.

Spicy Chickpea Snacks

When I want a snack, crunchy and different trump everything else. So when Saffron Road asked me if I wanted to sample their Crunchy Chickpea snacks, I agreed faster than you can say wasabi.

Because they had me at wasabi.

I like wasabi.

A lot.

Saffron Road Crunchy Chickpeas are are all-natural, gluten-free, non-GMO verified, vegetarian, and certified Halal flavored chickpea snack made right here in the good ol' US of A. And boy, do these spicy nuggets good hit the spot when I want a salty snack!

Husband and I are also big fans of Indian food. All of the Crunchy Chickpea flavors are something we try to replicate to varying degrees of success in our own kitchen.

The Bombay Spice Crunchy Chickpeas are supposed to be the hottest and spiciest. I was a bit concerned since I am a wuss when it comes to spicy hot food, while Husband happily eats lava but fortunately I didn’t find them very hot or even hot enough to need a drink in between servings. Despite my love of all things wasabi, the Bombay Spice is my favorite of the bunch.

I think the Falafel Crunchy Chickpeas were slightly spicier than the Bombay Spice but not by much if I had to rank them. Again, they were not spicy enough to make me run for a beverage and I enjoyed the falafel flavor I haven’t been able to replicate on my own - yet.

Finally, we tried the Wasabi Crunchy Chickpeas. Wasabi can be tricky. Most wasabis are either too intense or bland in flavor so my first bite of any item containing wasabi is cautious. I was pleasantly surprised that the Wasabi Crunchy Chickpeas didn’t make my eyes water on the first bite. They have the correct balance of not too hot and not too spicy while still delivering the perfect amount of flavor.

I appreciate the care and ingredients Saffron Road uses to make their Crunchy Chickpeas. We loved the little taste of India they deliver so much Husband pulled out the shawarma spices the following day when he made dinner.

What do you look for in a salty snack?
