Do Vegetable Gardens Waste More Money Than They Save?

I was bopping along the Internet when I found myself in a discussion about frugal advice people hate. Basically, those tips to save money that don’t apply to you. And the number one way to save money that actually wasted money was – plant a garden. This was followed by people saying that vegetable gardens cost them more money than they saved because it cost them $40 to grow one tomato and that vegtable gardening is a waste of money. On the one hand I tend to agree because growing a vegetable gardening to save money is playing the long game. Save this idea to your Pinterest Boards for later! Share it with your friends!

My Top 10 Posts of 2012

My, my, my how 2012 has flown by! This year has been seen the good, like my being a Newcomer and Food Community Leader at Blissdom.

Me being Community Leaderly

The challenging, like learning how to live lactose free as a cheese loving foodie.

Especially when Husband goes bonkers buying local cheese as vacation souvenirs.

And the downright awful - fighting canine lymphoma and losing Blitzkrieg.

The bright is you raised $1,080.00 for the Blitzkrieg Cancer Treatment Fund. Husband and I are so grateful to you. Blitzkrieg's extra hospital stays and extra treatments because of reactions and rejections tore through our estimated $3,000.00 costs. Husband and I are paying it forward. We donated a ton of dog food to our local pet food pantry in Blitzkrieg's memory as part of our holiday celebration.

Of course during all of this I blogged it and you read it. Here are my top 10 posts of 2012:
