Quick and Easy DIY Car Air Freshener Hack

I use a vent clip air freshener in my car keep the inside of my car from stinking up the joint in between cleanings. My personal go-to is t his Fabreeze car vent air freshener , but I also love the scent of these Yankee Candle car vent air fresheners . Depending on availability and sales, I tend to switch between the two.( Disclosure: I am including affiliate links for your convenience .) I stumbled upon a killer deal on Yankee Candle Sidekick refills. Without hesitation, I snatched them up, even though I didn't have the matching holder (the Sidekick air freshener looks like this ). My brilliant plan was to simply stick the refill in the car vent, similar to the air freshener sticks that look like this . It sorta worked but mostly didn’t.

Vodka Cranberry Popsicle Recipe

Once I declared this year The Year of the Popsicle,  my Popsicle making experiments are going well. I am getting kiddos that hate anything remotely healthy to eat my variations of juice and fruit pops, which makes me happy.

Now it is time for something more a bit more grown up Vodka Popsicles!

Oh yes, my friends, I'm ready to teach you how to make booze infused Popsicles because I can't invite you over for a BBQ and a taste of my delicious experiment. I would if I could but my yard is too small to host of all you.

The BPA free ice pop molds I have are discontinued. The closest BPA free Popsicle mold I can find this this styles the  Nuby Garden Fresh Fruitsicle Frozen Pop Tray . (Disclosure: I am including affiliate links for your convenience.) If you want to make larger Popsciles than the toddler size shown here, I suggest using a silicone Popsicle mold like this one.

Nuby Garden BPA Free Frozen Ice Pop Molds

I tried and failed throughout the summer to get the perfect combination of juice and alcohol that will properly freeze. (A hardship, I know.) I finally came up with a recipe that doesn’t have as much alcohol in it as a traditional mixed drink but it will freeze into a Popsicle and not melt immediately when removed from the Popsicle mold. I know it’s there and sometimes that’s all that matters when you’re treating yourself and girlfriends with a covert frozen adult beverage.

Cape Cod Vodka Cranberry Popsicle Recipe

 You will need:

1 cup of cranberry juice

1 splash of lime juice to taste

2 teaspoons of vodka

1. Mix the cranberry juice, lime juice, and vodka together in a bowl or large measuring cup.

2. Pour the cranberry mixture into a Popsicle mold.

3. Put the Popsicle molds in the freezer and wait and wait and wait until the cranberry vodka Popsicles freeze solid.

4. Once the Popsicles freeze completely, remove from the mold and enjoy!

Vodka is one of those alcohols that melt easily. Wine might work a little better with it. Cranberry vodka popsicles sound tasty.

Oh boy.....I think these may just become my new summer favorite LOL
This recipe will freeze because of the small amount of vodka I use in it. I experimented to make sure I got the right amount of vodka vs. juice so the Popsicles will freeze.

Sneaky. I like it! And yes, sometimes the discreet adult beverage is as much for the naughty factor as it is for getting loaded.
