Quick and Easy Corned Beef Hash Recipe

I had some leftover corned beef in the refrigerator that was too much for one person to eat and a bit too little to reheat and serve by itself for dinner. I also had a few potatoes in the pantry that I needed to use and decided to get these two crazy kids together and made corned beef hash for dinner! March Food Sales

Frozen Food Month – Most grocery stores will have frozen food on sale to celebrate Frozen Food Month. It is a good time to stock up on frozen vegetables (plain and in meals), frozen fruit, ice cream, pizza, or whatever frozen food you fancy.

Lent – meat free main dishes, fish, seafood, cheese, etc.

Passover – brisket, matzo, etc.

Pi Day, March 14th – ready made pies and pie making ingredients

St. Patrick’s Day – corned beef, cabbage, Irish soda bread, etc.

March Madness – party and tailgating type food such as chips, snacks, pop, dips, appetizers, pizza, chicken wings, party and relish trays, etc.

Easter - candy, ham, eggs, vinegar, etc.

What Household Items to Buy in March

National Craft Month (learn more here) Yarn, craft paint, jewelry making supplies, scissors, glue, etc.

Snow and cold weather clothing – Stores are practically giving away the last of the winter clearance away to make room for summer items.

Spring Cleaning Items – carpet cleaning services, household cleaners, air fresheners, cleaning tools (from mops to carpet sweepers,) power washers, and other cleaning services. More green and plant based cleaners will go on sale in April for Earth Day. You can find some of my favorite eco friendly cleaning supplies here.

Boats – Between it being boat show season as well as the off season in most of the country you can get a better deal now on a boat and boating supplies than if you wait until summer.

St. Patrick’s Day items like these – Irish décor, green clothing, and all things shamrock. You’ll find even better deals the day after the holiday.

March Madness – deals on NCAA Basketball and team apparel and items. You can take the game with you by watching through this FREE (and legit) NCAA March Madness app!

Luggage – it is the vacation off season and time to clear inventory of last year’s stock for the spring break and summer vacation season.  Tip: Buy brightly colored luggage like these so you can easily find your suitcase among everyone else's black colored suitcases in baggage claim!

Flowers, seeds, and plants – order or buy them now on sale and you’ll be ready to go the second you are past your region’s frost date. You can find a HUGE selection of seeds, including organic and heirloom here.

Gardening tools – hand tools, cultivators, lawn mowers, trimmers, etc. buy them now before the prices increase for summer. Tip: You can save time and money at Home Depot by shopping the sales   on line here and picking it up at the store for FREE SHIPPING.

Exercise machines – stores will be trying to move their extra and leftover January stock. You might find an even better deal on used exercise equipment someone bought to meet a now dead New Year’s Resolution.

Silverware, china, and wedding gifts – Stores are clearing out the Christmas holiday serving ware to make room for the June bridal registry season. If you need an upgrade or know you are going to a future wedding, shop early and save! You can find tons of personalized wedding gift ideas here.

Wedding supplies, services, venues – lock in you price for all of your wedding needs now during the off season for a spring or summer event.

Golf Clubs Stores are making room for new Spring clubs and gear.

Gas Grills (like these) & Air Conditioners (you can find a variety of sizes and types here)– it is the off season so this may be a combination of last summer’s leftover stock and this year’s new stock. Either way, you can find a deal.

My husband loves to shop at our local farmers market all year long, so we always have seasonal fruit and vegetables at home, which is great.
Thank you for joining The Really Crafty Link Party.
