I made brown butter skirt steak with wilted chicory and red potato salad.
It tastes better than it looks and it looks magnificent!
It was such a success, I followed it the next night with this pesto shrimp orzo with summer squash carpaccio.
I made both meals with fresh ingredients in about thirty minutes didn't have to step outside of my house to buy any of it. Two dinners that are so Lazy Budget Chef I wish I could say I created the recipes myself.
I ordered them from Plated, a lazy budget chef's best friend.
Plated is a gourmet meal service where you order fresh, sustainably sourced ingredients in pre measured amounts to create a gourmet recipe you cook at home. Plated has a different each featuring 4 meat and 3 vegetarian recipes you can choose from each week. You can either use the subscription service where they automatically send you meals based on your preferences (gluten-free, vegetarian, lactose-free, etc.) or you can pick and choose the meals you want to order that week. Lacey helped me unbox the review meals we choose from Plated. Take a look at the lovely, quality of ingredients we received!
The meals are delicious and the recipes are easy to follow. Cooking with fresh and in season ingredients is always a treat especially the fresh lemon. I usually buy bottled lemon juice. It was nice to finally have that 1 lemon of juice most recipes call for and not have to estimate how many ounces of bottled juice translates.
Plated is so convenient Husband and I treated ourselves to several more orders. Plated expands our palate with things I wouldn't ordinarily put on our dinner menu. Plated was a life saver when Husband and I had a killer work week with an empty refrigerator and no time to grocery shop and barely enough energy to think about what to make for dinner.
Plated makes an excellent gift for a new parent, someone who has no energy to cook, and of course, Hanukkah and Christmas too!

Disclosure: I received two review meals courtesy of Plated to facilitate this review. This did not influence my opinion because all opinions are 100% my own. But the quality of the ingredients and the wonderful recipes did influence me to open my wallet and order more meals on my own dime.
