I did modern dance in college. Before I met Husband I was a
Jazzercise junkie. I was cast as a Scottish and English Country Dancer when I
performed at the Ohio Renaissance Festival for eight years. That’s where I met Husband.
Do you know what all of those things have in common?
I rarely wore a bra during dance rehearsal, performances, or
during aerobics classes. I didn’t think
I needed much support because like most dancers, I’m not ample in the upper
deck.
Time marches on. Last year I gained 35 pounds as a side
affect to a medication I took for a minor ailment. My doctor changed the
prescription to something that would not compel me to eat three large
sandwiches and still feel hungry at each meal. She said the weight should come off as I gained it
– gradually.
One year later, wishing has not made me lose the weight I
gained. I tried to blame it on food blogging but the sad fact is I had to push
myself away from the computer and start exercising. I fired up the Wii
workout and dance games I pestered Husband for and rarely played.
So far I lost 15 pounds and learned something. Now that I’m a bit
more ample all over, I need to wear a sports bra with more support than this
old thing. It hurts when the girls bounce too much!
