Kids Who Give Contest

One of the things I appreciate about my parents is that they encouraged me (sometimes against my stubborn childhood will) to volunteer and help various organizations. I didn’t find it unusual that there were a lot of service clubs at my college. Most of the other student organizations usually did some sort of service project at least once a year too. Because of my childhood of volunteering, that’s the kind of place where I felt most at home.

Do you know a child who is making a difference by volunteering? Enter them in the Kids Who Give contest! Three winners in each category will each receive up to a $2,500 donation to contribute to the charity of their choice, a personal gift card and a special Farm Rich prize package. The grand prize winner plus a parent or guardian will get an all expense paid trip to New York City this fall for the 2011 Kids Who Give Awards Dinner.

Kids Who Give is open to children in the US ages 7 to 17. There are three age-based categories: 7-10, 11-13 and 14-17, plus a new Fan Favorite category where America gets to vote. Entries will be accepted from March 1 through May 31, 2011, with the winners announced in August.
